equal.

<template v-slot:lead="">

People who search a shop already have something in mind. Turning that intention into a purchase depends partly on how well search connects it to suitable products. Together with our client CXP Commerce Experts GmbH, the company behind searchHub, we developed a Shopware 6 plugin that makes it easier for merchants to integrate its search technology. We have already implemented it at COMSPOT.

<case-study-section letter="F" name="Facts" subtitle="Why search quality matters">

A search box is easy to add. Quality emerges when customers can use their own words to find the right product. Product data often reflects the language of manufacturers and merchandising teams. People search using abbreviations, typos or a description of what they need.

Consider electronics retail: “USB C charger”, “USB-C power adapter” and a specific model name can express a similar purchase intention. Search needs to connect those words to relevant results while preserving meaningful differences between products. These examples illustrate typical requirements; they are not taken from COMSPOT search data.

Even a long list of results can miss the customer's need. Someone looking for accessories needs compatibility. Someone searching for a particular device needs to distinguish it from variants and accessories. Search quality is reflected in the journey to a suitable product. Why exactly this quality drives conversion and revenue is covered in our insight [Search in e-commerce: why your shop needs a search that actually finds](/en/insights/ecommerce-search-that-finds).

</case-study-section>

<case-study-section letter="O" name="Objectives" subtitle="Connecting intent with the catalogue">

The integration creates a technical foundation for optimizing search queries. It supports three objectives:

- **Relevant results:** connect different expressions of a purchase intention with the catalogue.
- **Less friction:** reduce unnecessary repeat searches and dead ends on the way to a product.
- **Focused development:** use search behavior to guide improvements around actual customer needs.

[searchHub](https://www.searchhub.io/en/) adds query analysis and optimization to existing search technology. Its approach addresses the language and intention of shoppers and can work alongside the current search system.

</case-study-section>

<case-study-callout title="The difference that matters">

**A match answers: Does this term appear in the catalogue? A useful result answers: Does this product fit what I am looking for?** That quality deserves the same attention as product pages and checkout.

</case-study-callout>

<case-study-section letter="C" name="Constraints" subtitle="Search needs the context of the shop">

Search quality also depends on product data, variants, availability and the underlying search system. Additional technology needs to work with those foundations. In electronics retail, similar product names can describe different generations or connectors. Returning more results alone is an insufficient objective.

Integration therefore requires a shared view of Shopware, search technology and the customer journey. Which queries need optimization and which results are appropriate depends on the individual catalogue.

<case-study-section letter="U" name="Execution" subtitle="Implemented at COMSPOT">

Together with **CXP Commerce Experts GmbH, our client** and the company behind searchHub, we developed an **integration for Shopware 6**. We have already implemented the plugin at **COMSPOT, a retailer**. This connects our work on the Shopware platform with the continued development of shop search.

The [plugin repository on GitHub](https://github.com/nuonic-digital/sw-plugins.nuonic.searchhub) documents installation using a ZIP file or Composer. According to the repository, use requires a valid searchHub subscription. The integration provides a practical starting point for additional Shopware projects.

At COMSPOT, this implementation forms part of a long-standing collaboration. Our [COMSPOT Shopware case study](/en/case-studies/comspot-focus) describes how we support the shop across platform generations. The searchHub integration adds another concrete component to that work.

<case-study-section letter="S" name="Scaling" subtitle="Integration delivered. Evaluate the impact.">

The concrete project outcome is the implementation of our Shopware 6 integration for searchHub at COMSPOT. To evaluate search quality afterwards, useful questions include:

- Which queries return no results or lead to another search attempt?
- Do shoppers click relevant products and add them to their baskets?
- How does conversion develop after customers use search?
- Which changes demonstrate an improvement in a controlled comparison?

These questions help guide ongoing optimization using actual customer behavior. The aim is to connect technical delivery with measurable impact through clear objectives and an evaluation suited to the shop.

With nuonic, we have found a partner who not only understands Shopware extremely well from a technical perspective, but also quickly grasped our requirements for a professional integration.

The Shopware plugin we developed together makes it particularly easy for merchants to integrate searchHub into their existing Shopware shop and use our technology without extensive custom development.

For us, it is essential that the integration is technically sound, maintainable and closely aligned with Shopware standards. That is exactly what nuonic delivered. This allows us to give Shopware merchants a much easier way to get started with searchHub while reducing the integration effort on our side.
