Our Shopware 6 plugin
[B2B Quote Management & Price Requests](https://store.shopware.com/en/nuoni91279625928m/b2b-angebotsverwaltung-preisanfragen.html)
has been officially released in the
[Shopware Store](https://store.shopware.com/en/extension-partners/nuonic-digital)
on 28 August 2026. With it, the entire quoting process — price request in the
store, calculation in the admin, a binding PDF quote and conversion into a
regular order — is available to every self-hosted Shopware 6 store as an
installable plugin.

The extension first went live at
[Handelskönig](/en/insights/handelskoenig-b2b-quote-requests), where we
developed and hardened it against a real building-materials B2B process. That
project-driven implementation has now become a standard product that any
merchant can try with a free trial month.

This article answers the three questions that matter before installing: Who is
the plugin for? Which features do you get? And why choose it over the obvious
alternatives?

## Who the extension is for

The plugin is built for merchants who negotiate. Where a fixed list price is
rarely the final price and quoting is a daily task rather than an edge case, it
replaces the email inbox as a sales tool with a traceable process inside the
store.

It pays off specifically for:

- **Wholesalers and manufacturers in volume business**, where the standard cart
quantity doesn't match real demand — 500 profiles instead of ten, a pallet
instead of a box.
- **Building-materials, industrial and technical merchants with project
business**, where several items are calculated as one package — including
freight, availability and delivery date.
- **Sellers of products that need explaining**, whose final price depends on
composition, variant or order quantity.
- **B2C merchants with a growing B2B arm**, who currently handle commercial
inquiries via a contact form and want to professionalise the process.

It's a poorer fit wherever only fixed list prices apply and every order runs
through the standard checkout without negotiation. In that case there is no
quote to manage.

Technically the extension targets self-hosted Shopware 6 stores from version
6.6.5 to 6.7.x with PHP 8.3 or newer. It works in any edition and needs neither
a Commercial nor an Evolve license — the Community edition is enough.

## Which features are included

The feature set covers the full path from request to order — deliberately
inside the Shopware admin, with no extra tool alongside it.

### Requests from multiple entry points

Customers start a price request exactly where demand arises: on the product
detail page, in the cart, in the off-canvas cart, or via a dedicated multi-item
page for entire projects. The chosen product, variant, item number and quantity
are carried over in a structured way — no copying into a separate form. Public
requests are protected by captcha and work without a customer account.

### Central quote management with a status workflow

Every request becomes its own case with a quote number under
**Orders → Quotes**. A status workflow with eight stages moves the quote from
inbound through processing, offer and acceptance to order, rejection or
cancellation. Line items, contact data, notes, messages and history live in one
place instead of scattered across personal inboxes.

### Calculation with line-item discounts and margin in view

Line items, quantities and prices can be edited directly in the quote. Discounts
apply per line item — as a percentage or a fixed amount — on top of an overall
discount. While calculating, the net margin based on purchase prices stays
visible, and shipping costs and payment terms can be adjusted. Shopware
recalculates cart, taxes and totals server-side — with the same logic the order
uses later.

### Quote PDF, messaging and automation

The calculated quote is generated as a PDF in the Shopware document layout —
ready to send in the store's familiar look. A built-in messaging system keeps
the communication tied to the case, and eleven Flow Builder events enable
automated notifications and processes.

### From quote to a real order — including guests

Accepted quotes are converted into a regular Shopware order with the negotiated
line-item prices and shipping; quote and order stay mutually linked. Logged-in
customers see their cases in the account area, guests accept a quote via a token
link — no login, no friction.

## Differentiation: why this extension over the alternatives

Anyone digitising B2B price requests has four realistic paths. Quote Management
positions itself deliberately against the weaknesses of the others.

**Versus a contact form or request plugin.** A form does collect a request, but
it ends in the inbox. There's no status, no quote number, no PDF and no way back
into an order. Our extension isn't a better form — it's an end-to-end sales
process: the request becomes a managed case and, in the end, a regular order.

**Versus the Shopware B2B Suite / Commercial.** The B2B Suite's quote management
is part of the paid Commercial edition and built around the classic B2B Suite
model with employee management. Our plugin runs in **every** Shopware 6 edition
— including Community — and requires no Commercial license. For merchants who
need price requests but not the full scope and cost of the Commercial edition,
it's the far leaner entry point.

**Versus custom development.** A bespoke quoting process costs concept,
implementation and ongoing maintenance across every Shopware update. As a
finished store plugin on a subscription model, that effort disappears — we own
the ongoing development and update safety. Anyone with individual requirements
builds on top of the plugin instead of starting from scratch.

**Versus our other extensions.** Quote Management doesn't replace but complements
our B2B toolkit. The
[credit-limit plugin](/en/shopware-agency/development) protects invoice purchase
against payment defaults, the crate configurator controls packaging quantities —
Quote Management handles the negotiated price. The three solve different B2B
problems and can be combined.

The common thread: we deliberately built the process as a **native Shopware
plugin**. It reuses Shopware's cart, tax, document and permission logic, its own
DAL entities, state machine and number range, instead of duplicating those
building blocks in a silo. As a result the quoting process fits into operation,
updates and deployment — and bypasses no existing process chain, such as a
connected ERP.

## Availability, price and next step

The plugin is available in the
[Shopware Store](https://store.shopware.com/en/nuoni91279625928m/b2b-angebotsverwaltung-preisanfragen.html)
from 28 August 2026. It's offered on a subscription model from €79.95/month
(net), is cancellable monthly and includes a free trial month. Storefront and
admin are available in German and English.

For how the process plays out in practice, see our
[Handelskönig case study](/en/insights/handelskoenig-b2b-quote-requests). All
features in detail — including the process and FAQ — are on the
[plugin page](/en/shopware-agency/development/b2b-quote-management-price-requests).

Does the standard flow not fit your sales setup — because of ERP integration,
individual price lists or multi-step approvals? Then we build the adjustment on
top of the plugin instead of starting from scratch. How we tailor B2B systems
overall is on our [Shopware B2B](/en/shopware-agency/b2b) page.
